As part of Wyre’s renewed focus on connecting the crypto community to the fiat world, we are now issuing ERC-721 non-fungible compliance tokens, which lets partner exchanges know that you have been verified and approved.

The good new is, if you have a Wyre account and have gone through the verification process, getting a compliance token is just a matter of adding your Ethereum Wallet address.

⚠️ Please Note: If you registered on Wyre after August 28, 2018 and entered an Ethereum Wallet address during the registration process, we'll issue a compliance token to that address once the account is approved.

What does the compliance token do?

The compliance token let's exchanges know that you’ve been verified by Wyre and have gone through the KYC and AML verification process.

With this token, you will have access to our partner platforms and all their functionality, without the need to go through the compliance approval process for each one.

How do I get one issued to me on the Wyre dashboard?

  • First, log on to your Wyre account.
  • Then, go to  Your account, and select Ethereum in the dropdown.
  •  Enter the wallet address that you want to connect to your Wyre account and the compliance token will be issued to that wallet.

⚠️ Please Note: The token will be issued to the most recent Ethereum Wallet you have provided. Once another address is added, the token issued to the previous address will be burned. In other words, only one token per account will be issued.

What if I don’t have an Ethereum Wallet?

Getting one is easy! We recommend a tool like Metamask or Ledger and signing up for an account to get an Ethereum Wallet address.

Once you have an Ethereum Wallet set up, simply enter the wallet address in the text field on the dashboard, hit Save, and your wallet will be connected to your Wyre account.

Do I need to contact Wyre for a token?

This isn’t strictly necessary. If you already have a verified account and you’ve saved an Ethereum Wallet address in the Settings, the compliance token will be automatically issued. However, if you don't see the token on the blockchain within 10 minutes of hitting Save in the settings, feel free to reach out to [email protected] and we'll see what's going on.

Confirming that the token was issued

To see that the token was issued to your Ethereum Wallet address, go to (ethereum address here), and click on the ERC721 Token Txns tab. There should be token that was transferred into your wallet, with the token name in the right column including the word YES. This is referring to the status of your verification and it lets platforms know that yes, you have been verified as compliant.
