My Order Failed. Why Was I Still Charged?

If a transaction attempt fails, it's important to remember that you will not be charged. Any charges you may see on your bank/credit card account are only pending charges, and they will not be posted to your account. Each bank/credit card company handles these types of pending charges differently, so you can always contact your bank or credit card company for more information on their specific processes.

 

Here's what will happen if your transaction fails:

  • The transaction will not be processed.
  • Your funds will be returned to you.
    • It generally takes 1-5 business days (does not include weekends or holidays) for pending charges to drop off and for your funds to be returned.

 

All of this will occur without any need to contact Wyre or your banking institution. However, if more than 5 business days have passed since the transaction failed and the pending charge has not dropped off, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Support Team!
